The Trail of Tears

Tonight Jenny and I went to go eat at a restaurant by the "river walk" called Los Cabos. Apparently this is the best mexican food restaurant in all of Tulsa, and to be honest it was pretty good, but that's not really the point of the story. After we finished up at dinner however, it actually wasn't that late at night and we didn't really want to head back to the apartment yet... lucky for us, we've(the USA) spent the last couple hundred years wiping an entire race of people off the planet. The bonus here, is that we felt bad, so now they get casinos. Said casinos are all over Oklahoma, and conveniently on our way home. Jenny and I decide to just spend $10.00 dollars and see what we can win. Walking in I am thinking, maybe if we're lucky we'll break even and leave with the ten, but probably not. Walking in Jenny has slightly different thoughts...Jenny is under the impression that we will probably turn our $10.00 into $20.00, maybe more. Jenny is thinking that this is going to be the most fun, easiest money ever. Jenny is the reason Casinos exist. Jenny also hates losing...at anything. Jenny also keeps track of money, to the penny and hates spending it...at least now while we are poor. This won't be a problem though, because we're are obviously going to make a ton of money tonight. I mean, it's a casino, that's what you do, you walk in, and walk out richer right? Wrong. I have fun, I'm slowly bleeding money, but usually Jenny will play, lose about a dollar, then I will sit down and win it back, or most of it. This goes for a while but we are still losing money. Sometimes I win big...a dollar or two, most of the time I loose money. Jenny is slowly becoming less excited with each machine we play. We lose more than $10.00 BUT on our last machine we get back up to it. I thought that's OK, this was fun but now we'll leave. Jenny is not in a good mood. Jenny has just lost. Jenny has just lost....money. Jenny has just lost money...to a machine, not even a person. Jenny won't be happy for a while. I however have secretly evened the score with the Casino. Apparently they have a fountain drink machine in this one room. I hang out in that room. I drink the equivalent of maybe...6 or 7 Pepsi's, and Jenny has maybe 2. When we add together how much a Pepsi usually cost, especially at a restaurant, lets just make it $1.50, we've taken about $13.50 from the Casino, while they have taken slightly less than $10.00 from us. The end result is us coming out around 3 dollars ahead. Plus we got to listen to the sweet cover band that was actually pretty good. So basically....I win. Jenny is not amused, Jenny doesn't think Pepsi is that great, the band sucked, and I am bad at math. Plus it's cold outside. "I am never stepping foot in a casino again" Is how are drive begins home. I think it was a pretty successful night though. We got awesome fajitas and payed a total of $16.00 for dinner. Got to go to the casino and got to watch BOTH how its made and dirty jobs when we get back. Jenny is better now. At least we helped Indians, and got to watch people blow their welfare checks at the same time. Till next time...
